FAR 52.246-2
Inspection of Supplies — Fixed-Price

Federal Acquisition Regulation · Quality & Inspection · Updated 2026-08-26
inspectionacceptancerejectionnonconformingorigindestination

What it says

Gives the government the right to inspect and test supplies at all reasonable places and times, and to reject or require correction of nonconforming supplies at the contractor's expense.

Why it matters on DIBBS

The default inspection framework on fixed-price supply awards. Whether inspection is at origin or destination (check the schedule) drives your shipping risk and payment timing.
