DLA issues class deviations that temporarily change how FAR/DFARS/DLAD rules apply across classes of DLA acquisitions (e.g., thresholds, evaluation procedures, set-aside mechanics). Active deviations are published with the DLAD on DLA's acquisition site and are incorporated into solicitations.
Why it matters on DIBBS
A clause summary can be technically right and practically wrong if a class deviation overrides it. When the stakes are high, check the current deviation list before relying on the baseline rule.
