Specialty metals (certain steel, titanium, zirconium alloys, etc.) incorporated in delivered items must be melted or produced in the U.S. or a qualifying country, with limited exceptions (including commercially available off-the-shelf fasteners under specific conditions).
Why it matters on DIBBS
Hardware suppliers get burned here constantly. For fasteners, fittings, and machined parts on DoD contracts, demand melt-source certifications from your mill or distributor up front.
